Ray Allen

Ray Allen has again proved to be as clutch as any player can be. Ray hit a corner three pointer with half a second left to help his team beat the Philadelphia 76ers. The 76ers were leading by two prior to the game-winning three by Ray Allen. The play started with Pierce attracting the defense and making a perfect pass to a wide open Ray Allen.

Ray Allen is making a good stand to be the injury replacement for Jameer Nelson in this year’s All-Star game to be held in Phoenix. Prior to his game-winner, Allen also hit a three pointer to tie the game at 97. Andre Iguodala hit a fall-away jumper to give the 76ers the lead, 99-97. Ray Allen finished the game with 23 points, around 5 points above his average. The Boston Celtics’ players had to step it up because of the absence of The Big Ticket, Kevin Garnett. Kevin Garnett was out for the second straight game with the flu.

The Celtics have proven once again that they are deserving to be called the NBA’s defending champions. They showed that they could win without one of the big three, Kevin Garnett. Glen Davis stepped up in the absence of Kevin Garnett. Big Baby scored 12 points and grabbed 11 rebounds. The Celtics grabbed the win to keep the NBA’s best record with 41 wins and 9 losses. They have now won 12 consecutive games.
