Shaquille O’neal, once considered one of the elite players in the league, is reminding us how it used to be back in the day. Shaq has been playing incredibly well of late. He has been helping his team get the wins they need in order to get into the playoffs. Slowed down by injuries and age in the past, Shaq has stepped up once again, just like his championship run back in Miami a few years back, to dominate the paint. He is creating plays for himself and his teammates.

Last night, Shaq ate the Toronto Raptors alive. He scored 45 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to lead his team to a win. Shaq made 20 of his 25 attempts; most of which are dunks. Shaq has been averaging 17.4 points and 8.8 rebounds this season prior to his 45-point monster game. Shaq proving everyone, who is saying that he is too old to domintate, wrong.

With the loss of Amar’e Stoudemire to an eye injury, the Suns have a huge hole to fill up. Amar’e is one of the team’s offensive weapons. To see Shaq get into the mix and step up his game, means so much to the Phoenix Suns. They will need every player in their team to step up if they want to get into the postseason. We will see if Shaq can continue his dominance and show us how it used to be when he was younger as well as lead his team to achieve more wins in what’s left of the regular season.
