Who said the Magic Can’t Do it without Jameer?

Everyone said that the Magic would probably go down in the standings after they lost Jameer Nelson to injury. Everyone who said so was wrong. Dwight Howard and the Orlando Magic have finally clinched the Southeast Divison Title. They also hold the 2nd seed in the Eastern Conference Playoffs as of the moment. Their division title clincher wasn’t easy at all. They had to face the defending champs Boston Celtics, 84-82, to clinch the title. Dwight Howard had to bring his A-game to help his team win this closely contested battle. Dwight scored 24 points and grabbed 21 boards.
The Magic have proven themselves worthy to become one of the league’s elite. They have kept their composure even with the loss of their star point guard. First of all, the Magic made a move to acquire Rafer Alston. He has been a big help to the team taking the point guard position. Next, everyone stepped up their game. The team hardly showed signs of letting up. Last but definitely not the least, Dwight Howard has stepped up his offensive game and is slowly but surely taking over games for the Magic. He is their mainstay and best player, offensively and defensively.
At this pace, the Magic might beat out the Celtics and totally knock off the picture of home court advantage for the Celtics in the second round. The Celtics are not playing too well either. The Orlando Magic should keep this up if they intend to have a shot at the NBA Championship trophy.
