The Washington Wizards halted Cleveland’s 12 game winning streak with 109-101 victory in the Wizards’ home court. The Cavaliers were on a franchise record-setting win streak with 12 consecutive wins. They were looking to grab Unlucky number 13 against the worst team in the league. Number 13 did prove it was an unlucky one. The Cavaliers dropped their first game in about three weeks.

Thanks to a team effort by Wizards, they stole no-bearing win over the highlest seeded Cleveland Cavaliers. This goes to show how strong they are when their lineup is complete. Brendan Haywood played in his second game after getting injured early in the season. Gilbert Arenas also played in his second game back. Both players recorded double-doubles. Gilbert had 11 points and 10 assists while Brendan Haywood had 12 points and 10 rebounds. Antawn Jamison, probably the most injury-free player in the Wizards list of star players, recorded 19 points and grabbed 5 rebounds for his team. Caron Butler led the Wizards in scoring with 25 points.

Lebron James, the leading MVP candidate, led his team with 31 points, 9 rebounds, and 6 assists. The only thing unremarkable in his game was his costly 6 turnovers. The Wizards, as a team, only recorded 7 turnovers. What’s up, LBJ? This definitely hurt his team in the long run. Lebron got dismal help from his teammates. Mo Williams scored 19, Delonte West had 14, and Anderson Varejao had 10. This is not a good sign for the Cavaliers heading into the playoffs. They have to get back on track if they want to see that championship banner and trophy.v
