The Boston Celtics were in need of a hero in Game 2. Ray Allen knew he was the man for the job. Ray Allen bounced back from one of his worst playoff games in his life to hit the game-winning three pointer with 2.0 seconds left and no more timeouts for the Bulls. Ray Allen was also the one who took a possible tying two pointer in Game 1 that could have sent the game into double overtime. This time, he didn’t miss. He hit a three pointer coming off a screen and shot it over the outstretched arms of Joakim Noah. Ray scored 28 of his 30 points in the 2nd half.

Rajon Ronda played another remarkable game for the Celtics. Rajon recorded a triple double with 19 points, 16 assists, and 12 rebounds. He also stole the ball 5 times; talk about an all around game. Rondo has been their main man for the first two games of the season. He is their most consistent player so far. Glen Davis, who is taking the spot of Kevin Garnett, scored 26 points and grabbed 9 boards. Kendrick Perkins scored 16 points and hauled down 12 rebounds. Paul Pierce scored 18.

Ben Gordon played incredibly well in the Bulls’ losing effort. He scored 42 points going 6-11 from 3-point land. Brad Miller scored 16 points and grabbed 9 rebounds. John Salmons contributed 17 points. Derrick Rose, the hero for the Bulls in game 1, wasn’t really as effective as he was in their win in game 1. Derrick only scored 10 points.

The playoff road games woes for the Celtics will be tested this year as they head to Chicago for Games 3 and 4.
