Lebron James has finally been paid his due. As a young player, everyone knew he would be destined for greatness. He was drafted 1st overall in a draft class that included Carmelo Anthony, Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh, and many others back in 2004. He won the Rookie of the Year Award that year, going head to head with Carmelo Anthony. He was able to change the tides in Cleveland as soon as he set foot on the floor. From being the worst team, he turned his team into a contender to enter the playoffs.

Every season, Lebron improved, although not statistically, but his team’s record went up. But this year, his improvement was phenomenal. It seemed like there was nothing to improve on for him from last season. Lebron never fails to leave us in awe. He took his game to the next level once again. In only his 5th year in the NBA, he was able to lead his team to the top of the standings securing home court throughout the playoffs. He posted 28.4 points, 7.2 assists, and 7.6 rebounds.

The changes from Lebron last season to this season were very noticeable. First, it would have to be his strength. His strength this season is unreal. He bulldozes his way to the basket as if he was a football player. The only real way to stop him would be to hack him. Another would be his defensive mindset. He has showed his defensive prowess this season by blocking people in the open court. You think you’re free? When Lebron is there, you might have to keep looking back. His one-on-one defense has also improved. He was a candidate for winning the Defensive Player of the Year Award, probably second to Dwight. He also improved remarkably from behind the 3-point line making him unpredictable. He is an opponent’s worst nightmare.

There’s only one thing left for Lebron to win. That would be the NBA Championship. If he wins that, it would be a stellar feat for him and his team. Congratulations Lebron.
