Hawks fall again; Johnson injured

The Atlanta Hawks are now facing one of the toughest scenarios they could find themselves in, down 2-0 and most likely playing without their top scorer. Joe Johnson injured his ankle when he landed awkwardly in the third quarter of Game 2. He went up to take a shot and landed wrong. This is a bad sign for the Hawks. Others will have to step up to fill the shoes of Joe Johnson if he is sidelined for game 3.

On the other end of the sideline, it seemed like everything was going well for the Cavaliers. The team went on to a quick start and were able to balloon the lead at once. The attack was spearheaded by no other, the MVP, Lebron James. He helped his team close out the first two quarters with a big bang. The first one was a reverse double clutch hammer slam while the other one was a three from way beyond at the buzzer. Lebron finished with 27 points, 5 assists, 3 rebounds, and 4 steals. Mo Williams and Delonte West scored 15 and 14 respectively. Wally Szczerbiak scored 17 points coming off the bench. The game was pretty much over in the first 3 quarters. The lead ballooned up to 36 points until the Hawks’ second unit tried to make a run in the final frame.

Maurice Evans scored 16 points for the Hawks. Both Josh Smith and Joe Johnson were unproductive for their teams. Joe Johnson scored 10 before he was injured and Josh Smith only scored 8 points. The Hawks have no chance of beating the Cavaliers if they keep playing this way. It seems like another sweep is on its way.
