Floyd Mayweather Sr. Entering Second Childhood
How old is Floyd Mayweather Sr.? Well regardless, the way he talks and washes his hands on the boxers he trains (supposedly!), he does a pretty good job distancing himself whenever he loses. And in the end he blames the fighters for losing. But does he?
First it was Oscar Dela Hoya. He lambasted the Golden Boy for his training and fight plan. He said Dela Hoya didn’t stick to it. Next was Ricky Hatton who was floored twice in the first round and ultimately stopped in the second round. The irony of the two fights is that Floyd Mayweather Sr. kept on yapping about how good a trainer he is and how his fighters would decimate Manny Pacquiao. On both occasions he lost and sheepishly hid behind.
Guess what? Now he is saying that Pacquiao doesn’t stand a chance against Floyd Mayweather Jr., his son. The guy is retired and that is all the more dangerous considering that fighters who are not in shape may as well forget about fighting. Wasn’t that why Mayweather Jr., stated he doesn’t want to fight Pacquiao because he is not in his league? Or is it the other way around? He is just scared to follow the footsteps of Dela Hoya and Hatton.
Now comes his loudmouth dad saying Pacquiao doesn’t stand a chance. I beg to differ. On two occasions he has been wrong. And rather than stand up like a MAN, he makes excuses. He is 0-2 against team Pacquiao and regardless if does not recognize Pacquiao as a good fighter, no one really cares. Who would listen to an old has been who has nothing to hold on to other than a towel to hide behind?
If his son does decide to fight Pacquiao, the best advice for Floyd Mayweather Jr. is to get a suitable trainer who focuses on training him and not engaging in trash talk. Floyd Mayweather Sr. may as well be confined to a home for the aged. He is aiming high but apparently he is entering the second childhood phase. He is not nor never will be a great fighter. Floyd Mayweather Sr. is a certified FLUKE.
I bet Oscar Dela Hoya and Ricky Hatton would agree with that! Who wants an old man who doesn’t do anything but yap rather than train?
