Rockets Surprise Lakers; Celtics win at the Buzzer

The Houston Rockets showed that they could win against the Lakers even without Yao Ming on the court. Yao Ming injured his foot in Game 3 and will be out for the rest of the postseason. A lot of players stepped up in this game for the Rockets. Aaron Brooks led the way for the team. He had 34 points, 4 assists, and 3 rebounds. Shane Battier scored 23 points, hitting 5 three pointers. He made four in the first half. Kyle Lowry, someone fighting for his minutes, showed his worth today as he was able to contribute 12 points coming off the bench. Luis Scola had 10 points and 14 rebounds.
Only Pau Gasol seemed to play well for the Lakers. He scored 30 points. Kobe Bryant only scored 15 for his team making only 7 of his 17 shot attempts.
The Rockets were able to take a big lead early in the first quarter. They continued to extend the lead as the game went on. The Lakers tried to make a run in the last frame but it was already too late. The series is now tied at 2. They will now be heading to Los Angeles for Game 5.
The Celtics surprised the Orlando Magic when the Cs didn’t go to Paul Pierce, Ray Allen, or Rajon Rondo for the last shot of the game. Big Baby Glen Davis was the man for them. He played pick and roll with Paul Pierce, got a perfect pass, and made the mid-range jumper at the buzzer. Paul Pierce scored 27 points to lead his team. Ray Allen and Glen Davis each scored 21 points.
Dwight Howard scored 23 points and grabbed 17 rebounds for the Magic. Rashard Lewis scored 22 points and hit two free throws in the dying seconds to give his team the 1 point lead before the Celtics made the game-winning basket.
The game was very close as both teams answered each others runs. There were a lot of lead changes towards the end of the game. It was just unfortunate for the Magic that the Celtics had the last say. Game 5 will be played in Boston.
