Cavaliers Battle Magic in Conference Finals

The Cleveland Cavaliers and the Orlando Magic will be going head-to-head in the Eastern Conference Finals to have a chance at winning the crown in NBA Finals.
The Orlando Magic had to go through tough 1st and 2nd round match ups to get into the Conference Finals. In the first round, they had to battle the young 76ers and play 6 games. In the second round, they had to crawl their way out of the match up with the defending champions in 7 games. They trailed 2-3 but won the final two games of the series. Dwight Howard was their most consistent player and biggest asset to defeat the Cleveland Cavaliers. They will be needing Dwight to dominate the paint against the Cavs’ bigmen. Only a handful of centers are capable of defending Dwight. Hedo Turkoglu would also have to continue his stellar performances and clutch shooting. Rafer Alston would have to keep the team composed and in the right tempo. All these, the team has to do or maybe even better if they plan to defeat the Cavaliers. They are the underdogs in this series.
On the other hand, the Cavaliers sailed through the first two rounds of the playoffs. They swept the Pistons in the first round and the Hawks in the second round. They proved their worth as the league’s best team. The Cleveland Cavaliers, led by their young superstar, Lebron James, have been showing no signs of relaxing until they reach the NBA Finals once again. Lebron James has been playing nothing short of spectacular as he is showing why he is the NBA’s regular season MVP. He has even raised the bar of his game in the playoffs even higher. Mo Williams, the key addition in the Cavaliers’ lineup has also proved his worth. He has taken some of the load off the shoulders of Lebron James with his slashing and outside shooting. Other players have also been stepping up; Delonte West, Joe Smith, Zydrunas Ilgauskas, and others. Ben Wallace will also be instrumental in this series as he will probably be the best chance the Cavs have at stopping Dwight Howard. The Cavaliers will have to keep playing their game and not relax even a little if the plan to win this series.
