Magic Win Series Against Cavaliers
The Orlando Magic have completed the upset of the top-seeded Cleveland Cavaliers, 103-90. It is only the second time the Magic will be heading into the NBA Finals, once long ago with Shaquille O’neal. Now, there is a new star center in the picture in Dwight Howard. Dwight Howard showed total domination in the game. He was unstoppable. Either he was attacking the bigs of the Cavaliers or he was passing out of the double teams and making the Cavaliers pay. Dwight scored 40 points and grabbed 14 rebounds.
The Orlando Magic won another game with a team effort. The execution of their offense worked for them once again. They hit 12 three pointers in the game. Rashard Lewis finished with 18 points and grabbed 8 rebounds.
The final tally of points scored for Cleveland doesn’t speak much of how the game was played. Delonte West, who finished with 22 points, got majority of his points when the game was already decided. Mo Williams only got hot in the 2nd half. He finished with 17 points. The much-needed firepower in the first half only came from Lebron James who finished the half with 13 points. He finished the game with 25 points, 7 rebounds, and 7 assists.
The Orlando Magic will now be facing the Los Angeles Lakers. This will be a tough challenge for them. Dwight Howard will no longer be facing sub-par big men. He will have to go against Pau Gasol and Andrew Bynum. The guard matchups would also be more even because of the presence of Trevor Ariza, Sasha Vujacic, Kobe Bryant, and the others. The Magic will no longer be playing against a one man team. We will see how they will match up and adjust to the Lakers.
