Lakers Make A Statement to the Magic, Everyone

The Los Angeles Lakers made the message clear to the Orlando Magic. They want to win the world championship. The Lakers started firing in the 2nd half as they were able to take a big lead in the 3rd quarter. They kept their lead in the fourth and finished the game with a 25 point win, 100-75.
Kobe Bryant led the way for the Lakers. He scored an sizzling 18 points in the first half. He topped that with 22 more in the 2nd half. Kobe Bryant also finished with 40 points, 8 rebounds, and 8 assists. Pau Gasol contributed 16 points and 8 rebounds. Lamar Odom, always considered as the x-factor of the game, scored 11 points and grabbed 14 rebounds to help his team seal the victory.
For the Magic, no one really put up big numbers. Mickael Pietrus led their scoring with only 14 points. Hedo scored only 13. The biggest missing link for the Magic was Dwight Howard. He only scored 12 points and was in early foul trouble. He grabbed 15 rebounds though. The three point shooting that won them the series against Cleveland was not present in Game 1. The Magic will have to tweak their game plan if their shooting does not connect.
Game 2 will still be in Los Angeles.

Much as I hate to say it, it look like the Lakers will be the 2009 NBA champs. Though hoping the Orlando can pull something out, this seems like the old Spurs-Cavaliers matchup (NO MATCH).
Expect Kobe to be all the more arrogant. He is someone I would love to see out of commission from the NBA!
