Lakers Win In Overtime Thriller

The Los Angeles have once again beaten the Orlando Magic, 101-96. Although a win is a win, this time wasn’t as easy as game 1 for the Lakers. The Orlando Magic stayed in the game and even almost won in regulation. The game went into overtime after Courtney Lee, the Magic’s surprising rookie, missed an alley-hoop for the win (supposedly).
Kobe Bryant played another spectacular game with 29 points, 8 assists, and 4 rebounds. It seems like Kobe has finally stepped out of his Superstar status and is starting to pass the ball and trust his teammates more. He also dished out 8 assists in Game 1. Pau Gasol finished with 24 points and 10 rebounds while Lamar Odom scored 19 and had 8 rebounds.
For the Magic, Rashard Lewis had another huge game with 34 points, 11 rebounds, and 7 assists. It was his three pointers that kept the game close. Dwight Howard dominated the paint, as usual, with 17 points and 16 rebounds. He also recorded 4 blocks and 4 steals. Hedo Turkoglu scored 22 points. The Magic played a lot better this game but still failed to pull out win #1 out of their hat. They will really need some Magic to be able to win this series against the Lakers. The upside for the Magic is that they will be heading home and they will be playing the next three games in Orlando.
