Goodbye Orlando Magic; Lose to Celtics 96 to 84

The game isn’t over but being about 19 points down with less than 6 minutes in the fourth quarter, it is practically imminent that the Boston Celtics are headed to the 2010 NBA Finals. The Orlando Magic seem like lost sheep playing at the Boston Garden and despite finishing the season with a best record, the level of play is indeed different in the NBA Playoffs.

Rajon Rondo, Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett and Ray Allen have been there and know what winning is all about. The Magic are no pushovers and were favored to make a return to the NBA Finals with the addition of Vince Carter to their roster. Alas, it seems that they will fail to do so.

So who are the Celtics facing? All points lead to the Los Angeles Lakers, the same team they defeated in style 2 years ago. But for that to happen, the Lakers have to get by Steve Nash and the Suns. The Western Conference Finals is expected to reach a pivotal game 7 since game 6 is scheduled to be held at Phoenix. The only way that a Celtics-Lakers rematch would be averted is if the Lakers start to play silly like what they did in Game 5 which they won luckily thanks to Ron Artest’s tip in at the buzzer.

As they say, “Hind sight is 20-20″, so I won’t comment on this blog, other than to say, “Good call”. I wish just one of the two (Suns or Magic) would’ve made it to the Finals so I’d have a team to route for. Is there any way both the Celtics and Lakers could lose?? :^)
