McGrady Status With Bulls is “UNLIKELY”
Tracy McGrady is not yet a Chicago Bull. At least for the time being as Chicago peeps continue to study the 7 time NBA All Star. Contrary to reports that McGrady’s inclusion in the Bulls lineup is a done deal, it seems that unless he proves he is fit to play the entire season and take on a role-player position, the deal is “unlikely”.
McGrady is coming off a stint with the New York Knicks where we was part of a three-way trade. He played only 30 games last season thanks mainly to a microfracture surgery on his left knee.
He averaged only 9.4 points, 3.9 assists and 26.1 minutes, low numbers for the 31 year old who has yet to finish an NBA season injury-free.
The Bulls already have Carlos Boozer, Kyle Korver, Ronnie Brewer, CJ Watson and Kurt Thomas to play alongside Derrick Rose and surely, adding McGrady would account for quite a team. Unfortunately, health and money issues are in the way so McGrady remains a free agent with risks at this point.
